The

Pilatesologist

A person who studies or has knowledge of movement based exercise, specifically Pilates.

I am inspired to help students achieve pain relief, flexibility and strength through a Pilate’s regimen. Every session is tailored to the specific needs and goals of a client.

Clients enjoy working with me because sessions are always challenging, with an eye towards safety and attention to what’s going on with their body on a given day.

For someone coming off surgery or an injury, their practice may focus on stability, balance and strengthening core muscles. An athletic client's strategy may be to balance the body by strengthening weaker, less dominate muscles and stretching tighter muscles.

Osteoporosis & Scoliosis

Pilates for osteoporosis is meant to strengthen core muscles especially along the spine. By doing pilates the muscles are enabled to bear the load of daily activities and relieve the load burden from the  skeletal structure.  Certain movements are avoided in order to prevent damage.

Rehab Pilates is quite different from Pilates for fitness.  Inherent in the method is the ability to modify each exercise from very basic and simplistic movements to the very advanced  requiring more balance, flexibility and even a little acrobatics.
